"SCALE" TRAXXAS SUMMIT....
I've been a happy owner of a Summit for a few months now but want to try something different. I currently have it looking like a revo. I wanted a better project so tried selling it but bids got up to a whopping $260 on Ebay WITH a 2.4Ghz 4 ch radio so I decided to keep it.
My point is...... I am sick of the Revo look now (especially cuz I have a G3R Carbon on the way!!!) and was thinking of putting the stock suspension/rockers back on and making it more of a crawler again. I had previously converted a Revo to a Slayer with the shorter arms and really enjoyed the look. Not so much the handling though. But I figure with the slow torquey 775, some 120 degree rockers, shortened width, and a scale body it may be alright. Any thoughts, suggestions, or has anyone else considered or tried this? I know it won't even come close to competing with a real crawler but should be semi decent at it I woud hope. At least more so than in stock form. Yet I could still slap a MMM system and haul some ass! I know the shafts are different and the arms will need to be shaved to clear the TLock diffs when the shocks compress and am prepared to do that so please save the "do you know what you're getting into?" posts. Criticism, good or bad is welcome. I got thick skin! :p |
The Summit is a lot of fun to mod, you'll like it.
Do a search around for my "Super Summit" and you will see what I am talking about. |
