I am trying to get back into RC cars after a long (family) break - having a son really helps revisit these hobbies which you previously had to give up!
Am looking into ordering a HPI Savage XL online and need some help to work our the cheapest shipping. Can someone provide me with the following:

-dimensions of the current savage XL box which it is delivered in
-total weight of the box with with all contents (as it was delviered, ie with car controller starter etc)

Don't have teh info you're looking for, but keep shopping and find a shop that offers free shipping with a purchase of this size. I wouldn't consider paying for shipping on a purchase like this unless it was such a deal that with S&H included it would still beat anything else.

I just had a Kyosho Inferno shipped and it was about $25 UPS gnd on 19lbs, I'd expect yours to be a little heavier.

I don't know how far you are from wherever you are purchasing it from, but it cost me 45$ to ship a Savage X4.6 from Washington (state) to Ohio with basic post office first class mail. I'd expect the XL to be about the same or a bit more.

...maybe I should have mentioned that I am based in Europe...that's why I'm interesting in the shipping from the US!
From what I have seen so far, shipping is over $100 for a car and I am trying to work out if it is cheaper when ordering two cars (for my buddy) and combining the shipping ... now I just have to find a shop who will combine shipping!

PS I would normally support my local hobby shop, but Savage XLs retail for more than $1000 over here
