We have a huge Slash class on our outdoor oval and off road course. This summer we averaged 24 trucks every Saturday. They are a total blast. We also have some convereted to 1/8th dirt oval cars with the 1/8th body and the rest stock components. I have seen one converted to a 1/8th buggy (BackSlash) as it is called. Now with four wheel drive it will be even more fun as a buggy.

Losi and Associated also use their basic chassis to make new vehicles. The XXX, XXX CR, XXXT and XXXTCR all borrowed components. Associated B4 gave birth to T4 and B44 also SC10 is nothing much more than a stretched T4 with a very weak spot in the front of the chassis as a result.

None of the these manufacturers are going to far out with development due to the costs now and the profit margins they are trying to maintain.

Other companies do this as well, Losi did the same for the night crawler and others.

Hype Hype Hype = sales sales sales

im glad they came out with this! im going to get one for sure. i like how its brushless too! i just hope it wont be too expensive. and i dont think its going too be a bad thing like everyone else is thinking because there are a lot of slashed that show up at my local track and they wont just throw the class away for this 4x4 truck.

Its nice to see a 4wd truck that can take the 1/10 electronics and a single battery pack.

Not bad, but I'll wait till some one buys it on impulse and i can scoop it up cheap. Atleast they where thinking with the same offset and hub as a slash so that if you do have rims and tires from a slash you can use them on it.

With enough brushless motor, it would be unfair to the nitro.

This new truck has an optional motor plate that allows the 1/8th scale Mamba motor and ESC. That combo would destroy a nitro.

The stock truck with the included 7 cell NIMH is good for 40 MPH and that is close to a nitro. The electric also accellerates faster (no spool up of clutch), is more responsive to throttle imput, and doesn't need to be tuned often like a nitro.

Yeah a nice BL system will smash a nitro in a drag race. I run on a 1/10th scale track so it all comes down to the turns, no need for huge power on such a small track.
