Default Buying a Stampede VXL! What Battery?!

So after experiment with getting back into r/c with a Losi Mini-t....I feel its time to kick things up a notch by buying a Stampede VXL.

My question is what battery should I use with the brushless motor to get around a 30 minute run time? NiMH? LiPo?

Thanks!

Jon

i just bought the new SMC 6000 mah. Check it out on Tower. You will get over 30 min if you're not on the throttle full time. The battery only costs about $85.

Only buy maxamps if you want to waste money. Stick with smc brand. They aren't obsurdly over priced and better customer service.

Bad batteries for the $$$? yes. Compared to SMC? yes. Are they dollar store equivalents? no.
