the flux has a metal gearbox and heavy duty drivetrain. I don't have one but im sure they hold up fine.

Here is a good raw video of how it runs on 6S power. Driven by none other than Joe of Castle Creations. He got one before the Flux was even released in the hobby shops. His own remarks of the Flux on 6S at the end of the video.

EDIT: Watch closely at 0:34. The 2 LiPo batteries flew out just with a bad rollover. Better secure those battery box flaps. Any batteries without hardcasing would surely gets a ding.

People breaking drive trains are the ones doing big air and landing with the throttle on. That shock loading of drive train will eventually make something fail.

Some standalone balancers operate in 2 modes like the Equinox - it will balance lipo without charger - it finds lowest cell voltage and discharges all other cells to that lowest voltage. It will reduce charge on lipo - how much depends on the voltage of teh lowest (weakest) cell. The other mode is sometimes referred to as charge thru - you care charging thru the balancer and balancing at the same time.

Instead of Equinox and its current limit, get the LBA10 - its limited to 10amps -

http://www.allerc.com/product_info.p...oducts_id=2916

Its back ordered here, but prob can find looking thru some heli sites, its a popular balancer.

Nice charger, that's the most power in an AC/DC I'v seen (100watts).

Make sure you get charge adapters to connect lipos (for whatever conns you get , deans?) to the charger and to connect the balance taps. That charger, like most of DTXs chargers, come with only alligator clips which are pretty useless. Most folks get caught bay this since they think the charge will have the adapters with it. It doesn't.

Duster. That is a nice Balancer. Wish I have known about it before buying the Equinox.

If I don't have 2 ICE chargers and 2 Ofna power supplies already. I am all over those newest Triton EQ chargers. Lots of options for different type of batteries and it balance them at the same time. Nice!

Actually, I am now thinking of selling them and get 2 of those .

If you're considering changing, look at Hyperion 0610iNet - 250watts, 10amp DC charger for $150. Two can be cabled together and "network charge" - I charge a pr of 2S like its really a 4S. All 4 cells get balanced together. Will do this with up to 6S lipos. I charge 5S pacs of a123s at 10amps and am ready to run in about 20min.

They are BO currently there but in stock at Amain. If your Ofnas are the 18a supplies, you're be set.....

Duster. Can you explain more about this "network charging". If you can get some illustrations posted, it will help a lot. Thanks.

This is from Hyperions support page and shows a pr of 0720i chargers networking charging - look down toward bot of page, there's a paragraph of explanation included. the 0720 is teh new charge up from the 0610, same 250watts, but they increased charge rate to 20a.

http://media.hyperion.hk/dn/eos/

Hyperion caters to the plane crowd as well as surface RC and the 0720 was marketed for them and their 6s+ lipos.

Duster, thanks for the link. it was informative. If ever i get lucky to sell my current charging set-up, I'll think about that network charging.

Got my Bad Horsie shock covers today, they look nice and will help reduce shock rebuilding, which sucks any way you look at it
