E-Maxx

I got an E-Maxx and me and my neighbor race from time to time. (not going to say who he is on the forum). What would be the easiest way to go faster than a .15 T-Maxx without costing too much?;)

Keep dreaming... I'll just put my JP Novarossi in it...

don't worry vtl1180ny, there are still ways i can kick your a** with my truck.. you'll see.. don't think I don't know where you live.

:D :ha:

Does anyone have a way to increase performance from a stock E-Maxx without spending too much money? I'd really appriciate it.

I have a couple of Graupner 600BB 12V motors with about the same rpm as the Titans and a little more torque. I never got to run them due to an EVX failure right before the order came in. With several brushless motors sitting around now, I don't know when/if I ever will run them. I guess the best thing would be to give someone a good deal on $76 worth of motors.

How much would you sell them to me for? Would I need a new ESC?

move the evx and rx around you take over a foot of wire out of the truck. but this may volid the warranty and you need cut some stuff to make it fit.and 2 7 cell packs traxxas said the evx can handel 14 cells which they say puts the truck over 30 mph the how to is on www.traxxas.com i raced a hpi savage with some huyper 8 port in it till my titans melted down and that was with only 12 cells

You just don't listen???

Faster motors... Less runtime... More broken parts...

How about getting a charger capable of charging NiMh batteries first???

I'm aware of that. And I already told you earlier that I wasn't going to do this idea for a while.

I would sell the motors for $65 shipped. The EVX will be find. Current draw is actually a little less than the Titans.

Hi all. In my robotic applications I often use Victor 883 speed controllers:

http://www.ifirobotics.com/victor-88...ler-robots.htm

Now, this controller has a couple of advantages over the EVX...

A. It has a faster switching frequency...less heat and more efficiency so run times are longer.
B. Finer speed increments...better control
C. Up to 30 volts!!!

I'm contemplating trying one in my E-Maxx with some higher voltage motors. The controller uses the same PWM interface as regular RC controllers. It would be interesting to see if two 12v motors in series on the Victor would be better than two 24v ones in parallel.
