For hardcore waterproofing:

http://www.mgchemicals.com/products/832tc.html

Commonly used to water/weather proof HID Ballasts.

Thermally conductive means the stuff will NOT trap in heat, so you can use it on the ESC, and sink it right to the bottom of the heat sink fins!

Been the prob with plasti-dip - it can cause servos to overheat, its not too heat conductive. Even with the advertising that new Emaxx is waterproof, there's still postings on Trx forums about frying electronics after getting wet. Mixed results getting Trx to replace them too.

I'm not convinced the newEmaxx is waterproof, water resistant, yes, totally water proof, no. I just don't run mine when its wet.

Seal your servo cases with RTV. It works best if you dis-assemble the servo and seal the joints of the case, CAREFULLY. You don't want a bunch of rtv inside the case. Pay close attention to the area of the wires. Apply a liberal amount of silicone grease around the servo's outputs. You can do the same (RTV) with your RX, or you can bag the RX and batt with a dry condom (latex or urethane. no lamb!), a balloon, whatever. Of course, it all requires maintenance to remain effective, and wont be completely water PROOF, but water resistant enough for a little fun in a puddle. Buying condoms is nothing to be embarrassed about. It's the responsible thing to do. For you, for your girl, and for your monster truck! Just walk right up to the cutest cashier and make sure to get the Magnums!

That's why that MG Chemical stuff is so nice... It DOES conduct heat

People use it to waterproof their HID Ballasts when they put them in their vehicles, and have hundreds of hours of usage on them, and no overheating

Servos are about the only thing you can't really plasti-dip much, due to the moving parts, lol, you can either try to do just the circuit board, or just seal up the seams... I did that from the outside with my HS645MG, and it survived 6 or 7 years of plowing through snow, with the occasional lake and puddles thrown in
