savage xl problems
 

I need some help with my savage XL. The problem I am having is at full throttle the car cuts in and out as if it was losing signal. The batteries in the truck and in the remote are new and charged. I have tried new crystals. And I also have put a new receiver in the truck. My local rc shop put in a new one for the same problem but it is doing it again. They said it was because I have a fail safe and they are no good. So I took it out and got the same thing. Only other thing I have installed is a battery level gauge.

I wonder if its the receiver and servo blipping - may have a short somewhere or damaged antenna wire (you didn't cut the antenna wire, right?)

or the engine bogging at full throttle.. - engine needs to be tuned

also, go through the truck and check for loose screws or aluminum parts rubbing - could be radio interference

do you have another radio/receiver you can test with?
does it do the same if you full throttle it with the truck lifted off the ground?

I was having the same problem and changed my radio and receiver and don't have that problem anymore.
