I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a better MT basher than the good old Traxxas T-Maxx, or if you've never had a hobby-grade R/C before, its electric brother E-Maxx. It's the truck that started it all, tons of owners, more aftermarket support than anyone knows what to do with, and easy on the wallet.

You will have tons of fun with the Traxxas T-Maxx or the HPI Savage
they are both very durable MTs

Tmaxx T-Maxx nah you stay in the hobbyshop which would be great for your LHS owner..... LST2 or Savage great trucks the can take a beating plus if you decide to race them not much you have to do just a set of bowties and go also Revo is ok

After owning the lst2, the savage, a t-maxx and a revo, I have found this:

Revo>Lst2>Savage>banana>dead snail>T-maxx

LST2 or Savage for bashers. Revo is a good machine, but I've seen them snap parts more often then the losi or hpi trucks. The revo is also the smallest...

Monster GT 4.6, best all around truck. Fun, affordable, durable, easy to work on. LST2 is a great truck, but much more expensive than the MGT. Same with the Savage.
