LST2 Hop ups/upgrade suggestions needed
I am getting a stock LST2 and was wondering if there are any needed or important upgrades or hop ups that I should consider? I will be using the truck to bash at the local BMX track or possibly race a few times. Are roll cages important? Any brands better then others? Thanks

G'day Marty,
There are heaps of mods you can do yourself as well as aftermarket parts that increase durability and performance.
Most LST/LST2 owners I have met or spoken to strongly suggest a Dynamite engine/chassis brace.
Theres a really good website here www.lstforums.com
Have fun.
Michael.

Hi!
If you are looking for some after market alum. parts, you can try GH Racing parts. They make some good quality stuff. I have them on my trucks.

Go to killer hobbies and get the ST Racing captured hingepins. I have a new era roll bar on mine, really like it a lot.

Get an aftermarket engine brace like everyone has said. It may be cracked and you might not even be able to see the crack until you take it off.
Try to get the B.A.C. steering link as the stock one is not nearly as durable.
I would upgrade the servos as well for better steering and get stronger servo savers.
I broke a few arms on my LST 2, after that I switched to the RPM arms and put in titanium lunsford turnbuckles and my truck was pretty much bullet proof.
I don't think you really need the roll cage for protection on this truck, it will just make it really heavy.
I cracked a few of the bottom plates after some heavy bashing. The Losi HD plates will take care of that.
