Anyone having a problem with the brass spacer between the clutch retainer screw and the clutch bell. (see picture) I replaced 2 within a month. The bearrings are good The problem seems to be that the material the spacer is made of is too soft. Comments? Ideas?

You can use washers to fill up the gap.

Thank you I thought about that but I was not sure if washer would cut into the crank shaft. Any suggestions on washer type?

Well Ofna sells a spacer kit for this purpose, but really any kind of washers will work. The brass spacer gets worn mostly from rubbing against the screw. All my SG shafts are spaced by washers, and they don't look any worse for wear, so using washers aren't a problem, as long as there isn't a big size difference from the washer and the SG shaft.

Thank you For the tip. I installed the washers, ran the truck and inspected. Everything is good.
