Exhaust is not that big of a prob - its the carb - did you get the slide carb or the rotary version?

Have a few options - here's one (its even on sale) -

http://www.rdlogics.com/cgi-bin/cate...500&type=store

That came from this how-to in case that might help - it covers the linkage -

http://www.misbehavin-rc.com/pit-lan...motor-swap.asp

New Era Models (NEM) used to sell a side ex big bore header - thats the other option, they were popular for orig 18 engined TNXs. They were about the same cost as the entire exhaust linked above though, NEM has always been expensive - http://www.neweramodels.com/

Here's the header I've used several times to put a CV-R in a 2.5 or 3.3 max.

Here's a pipe that works really well with the CV-R

Just a note - that AE pipe is LOUD!! I put one on my 18 TNX and neighbors began complaining - it's loud, lol. Just in case that makes any diff.

Thats a much better header than getting the one from NEM that costs 4x as much too!

I swapped to the 18TM and bumped the Cb 2 teeth. It was faster, especially when it hit 2nd gear. For the area I'm running, its too much, so I went back to the stock CB. The 18CVR will pull a taller gear, but try it stock - it'll pull harder than 2.5 and may have a little more top end - especially if the 2.5 wasn't tuned to perfection.
