Proline Wabash

I have a set of Wabash wheels wrapped in Crimefighters for racing, but I also have an extra set of Wabash wheels and wanted to know a good 40 series tire to zoom around in parking lots when we're not at the track. Definitely NOT interested in Road Rage tires.

Pictures would definitely be cool.

Which tires are these?

I looked on Proline, Imex and Panthers sites and can't seem to match 'em up with anything.

i just looked at IMEX they have something close, one way is imex tires are really soft hope this helped

Thanks. Yeah, there's some rubber that's close, but no cigar. Pretty close to the Traxxas Talon tires.

I'm almost 99.9% percent sure that its a HPI Blast wheel with a modified HPI Dirt Claws .

See the two stacked tires under? It's the HPI Phaltline tires

Fred30 04-28-2007 09:22 PM

Bingo! Thanks, bro.

Question though. When you say modified, do you mean modified to look like a 40 series tire or will they look like that on any MT wheels?

CobraSVT 04-28-2007 10:01 PM

I think the Dirt Claws were trimmed. The beads were cut to accomodate the larger diameter of the Blast wheels. Dirt claws are standard maxx tire sized. :) HTH.

I'm also thinking of doing the same but I'm afraid I might not cut the beads perfectly and just cause the wheel to wobble.

Fred30 04-28-2007 10:41 PM

Wow, there's no way I could trim them to fit correctly.

Do the Traxxas Talons fit standard Max size wheels?

Thanks for the help.

If your racing then the Panther Pythons are the BEST tire for the Revo on the Wabah wheel. We also narrow them by .25inch on the inside by cutting the bead off to the outside of the lip on the inner bead channel. The other side we remove one of the ridges so the lip on the Python Tire sits flat. Its a little mor work but they are super hooked up try them and you'll love them.

Personally, I'd go with the tires linked to in the top post. Those are Losi tires from a LST/2. They have very soft rubber and will grip ANY surface. They are a tad on the heavy side but they will be a great addition to a bashing rig. I can't remember the name of them to save my neck even though I own a set but I would definitely recommend them for what you're asking for.

Moab would be my choice
