Engine Temp
 

What temp should my tnx 5.2r be running at. It is broke in. I am new and I am at the point where it is running awsome even though I have broke it a couple times. Aswell, it is really fast and runs great fast but how long can I keep it full throttle for without doing damage. My highest temp was 290 but I am still looking for the highest temp on the engine becouse I don't know where to get my temp reading from. I borrowed a laser temp gun from work. Thanks for any input. Ken

try to keep temps between 220-250 at the glow plug. measure temp while engine is running not when you shut it off.
