You need the Jason Jaeckel SIII tmaxx chassis conversion (or something similar if it exists) in order to use a normal starter box. I believe that this conversion kit is offered by Rixx Gear, but there is a high likelyhood that I'm wrong on the name of the company. This allows for flywheel access.

Get the JT HRC racing chassis. It was actually field tested and proven to work before they released it and they have great customer service.

The conversion I mentioned is a maxx chassis that doesn't need any buggy stuff. I totally forgot about the JT and Hardcore conversions.

Native Racing has a starter system that can start a maxx and its not on a starter box.

Damn...that was a 5 year old post that you just responded to. Don't they delete ANYTHING here??? LOL.

I have a T-Maxx custom made box for the racing chassis. It has to be used with a rear-exhaust setup since the starter wheel hits the flywheel right where the pipe would normally be.

It's for sale! and so is my racing T-Maxx! $350 shipped for both!
