Default more acceleration, same top speed?

well ive asked on the revo thread too and all ive gotten is put a stiffer clutch spring onto my truck. and i plan on doing this. but i want a way to add more acceleration to my truck while keeping my top speed. does anyone know how i could do this? any ways to tune the truck to make it keep its speed and add acceleration? thanks in advance

well, a stiffer clutch spring will help your acceleration. you could lso go for a tuned pipe (if you dont have one already). or try making the truck lighter (im not sure how you can do that on a Revo). other then that youll end up buying a new engine for better acceleration.

you have the 2.5r i guess?

no i have the 3.3. and i have a tuned pipe, but its not very tuned. its more for looks and sound. i think im going to end up buying the resenator pipe though. and i want to get the carbon fiber chassis which will cut a lot of the weight. and i love the 3.3 so i dont want a new engine..

there might also be carbon arms available from vantage racing that might cut weight but between the chassis and the arm you'll be better off getting a new engine and getting more of everything for cheaper.

it isn't too easy to cut weight from these little trucks.

what wheels and tires are on there? you may be able to buy lighter wheels and tires and that will help your accel. alot.

getting normal size tires will help acceleration but will of course hurt top speed. and you dont get much lighter then those wheels at that size......

a clutch is about all i can think of......

40 series are bigger then standard MT. mostly in width but they are still a larger diameter.

the wheel itself is bigger but the tire is low profile so its the same diameter as the stock tires.
