Default Savage X 4.6 or Axial .28

I am going to be getting a Savage X soon and was wondering what people thought of the 4.6 engine that comes with the kit. I have thought about selling the engine and replacing it with the Axial .28 but wanted to hear what everyone thought about the 4.6. I may hold off on the axial .28 if the 4.6 is good enough.

the orgianal Axial 28 is nearly 100% identical to the HPI 4.6.... so i would look to a different motor then an Axial if you want an upgrade.

My mate has the new X he sent the 4.6 off to massive mods and had a stage 5 done to it. It was a lot cheaper than buying a new engine and it go's like you wouldnt belive!!

sorry when I said that I meant how much does the engine mod cost, just a term I guess we use here is confusing.

I'd wait till the new Axial 28RR is available, it will be a ripper of a mill.

Including shipping if you dont live in Australia, you would be looking around AU$150 or US$125. This engine with this mod done easily keeps up with my LRP spec.3 28 in my SS.
