Talking measuring amps and how big is 2 big??

Hello all of you monster truck guru's

I new to the sport of RC trucks and see of of this great stuff I can add on. I bought an esavage and love it . Now I want to go bigger and faster lol. I want to get bigger more aggresive tires and again a plethera of options. How do I know what to buy . My stock tires are 5.4" tall with a 14mm nut. Can I put different nuts and these huge tires on or will this just over work my motors and burn out my ESC. Which brings me to the amps question. Is there any way possible to check my amp draw so that I know that iI'm ok? Should I just get some inline fuses? Where can I find out the amps draw on my ESC?
Thanks,

There are 23mm adapters available. DACE and Proline. DACE are more, and use a 22mm outer nut( the 22mm socket driver is WAY less than 23mm) and a large flange. No idea on the proline, but I am sure they work ok.
