Radios and Hellfire
 

I have a HPI Hellfire RTR pretty much stock. I have been driving this truggy for a bit now and would like to race it. The nearest track is over an hour away. And I know very little about what upgrades to get for this truggy. I want to change the bellhousing from a 13 tooth to a 15 but read the clutch burns up. I was planning on running HPI's Alum. shoes and racing springs with it. Any Suggestions? I also know I have to upgrade my radio as it is stock to something better. But where do you start and whats good. If anyone can please help me? With any suggestions can you please give as much detail on the items as possible

well it all depends on how much you wana spend. You could race it just as it is it really dosent need upgrades, Well maybe the tires get some proline bowties or crimefighters. Since you are at an entry level of racing just go to a local track and get the feel of racing. Your going to need to tune the chassis and diffs to your specs. and for a radio JR xs3 is a really good affordable radio system or any of the spektrum systems so you dont have to worry about channel sharing issues.
