Default Newb Motor Question

Hey Y'all,

I am new to the Nitro world and have a question for y'all which i'll get to in a minute. I just won this truck on ebay and it has a RB323 in it. I was at my LHS and the guy said that the revo 3.3 motor will beat the RB323 but the guy selling this truck says that the RB323 will "smoke" the revo 3.3. Who is correct?

Steven

The picco/ofna 26max will smoke the RB 323. Id look into getting one over the 323 for sure if you want more power. And its a medium block as well and will drop right in the same spot the 323 droped in

Your LHS just wants to sell you a motor. The RB is very powerful.

I ran the rb323 at the track yesterday and it got a lot of compliments. (not my driving, mind you...the engine) I have found, however that my front bearing is leaking. Is it worth replacing or should i get a new motor? Front bearing from RB is $10 and the main bearing is $20. I just want to know how easy is it to replace? and as long as I'm in there, are there any other components that i should replace?

youll have to remove the backplate, disconnect the conrod and pull the crank. it might be time consuming but for the engine it would be worth it
