You might want to hold off on the 3.3 for a bit while Traxxas works out the bugs. People are reporting that the Con rod it breaking and the piston sleeve is shattering. I bought one to see if the rumors are true and I think they are. The motor is TOO tight. and I think they took out too much on the con rod. The TM is an outstanding motor and it has a better quality to it that really cannot be matched.

Either engine is a good one, I have a 3.3 revo and didn't have any trouble breaking it in. You get a bad one every once in a while, thats what warranties are for.

I agree with everybody else, the O.S. is a very good motor. A couple of my friends raced them last season and they are extremely strong and fast. Keep your 2.5 as a back-up.

Oh yea, ignore anything "proud savage owner" has to say, don't get rid of your Revo. His advice is the worst. Someday maybe he'll go race and see how bad his savage gets whooped and see the light. It's a basher and that's it.

I had a 2.5 in my revo and now i have a 3.3 its awseome!
it wheelies with no problem, it was a direct fit and start up pretty easy every time to.
Keep your 2.5 for abck up like others said and get a new 3.3 from towerhobbies or somwhere for like $150ish, your 2.5 is worth more then $15
cuz the ERP cost $135 + ur 2.5, keep the 2.5! just to have it.

good luck
