I think this truck looks cool, but wish it competed with the EMB monster and was a scaled down version of the MT10/8. |
Are there product reviews for this truck on Youtube? I haven't seen one... (a real one anyway).
I think this *could* be a cool truck - 2.5lbs, so a bit heavier than the 1/14 rigs, a frame rail body like a crawler, and a scale body. That nice body might not do well if this is a real basher. Also, a 380 sized motor might be undersized but that's an easy fix. |
Honestly I didn't look and I really don't bother with youtubers anymore, because most of the ones doing the reviews are getting free product and regurgitating whatever info the product rep told them to say. I got into it with one of them and they told me that what they stated in the video is what the product rep told them about the product. The reviewer took no time to investigate things on their own and the info was out there and every youtube review concludes the same, "the product is awesome, it's going to be the next thing." The only RCer I watch on youtube is MSM. Yes, he also gets free product, but his reviews appear to be a little more objective, he does more than just review product, and he is a sponsored racer.
Getting back on topic, I agree, I think it could be a cool truck as well, but it would be really nice if there was some conformity in the RC world. Every manufacturer is trying to reinvent scale and blaze new trails and the only thing it seems to be doing is causing frustration and confusion. As cool as this truck looks, I think Associated blew it and should have made a scaled down version of the MT8/10, which at that price point probably would have sold like hotcakes. |
When I seen this truck I was happy and disappointed at the same time lol. I really wanted AE to answer the TLR LMT and this is not it. Still looks like a fun little rig will be a nice present for a kid or a little back yard dog poop runner. Dog poop like if I run over a dog turd I'll just leave it on the back porch and let it dry out and crumble off cause I wouldn't care that much about it.

Is this just a rebrand of something on Banggood already? AE is not really creative anymore….
|
this is not releaset yet
i think we must wait atleast 10 days or 2-3 weeks before it comes at Youtube. I dont think AE rebrand Shenzhen TOY stuff. Plastic looks high quality in this like other AE products. This got also Hex Screws Toy stuff got more shiny Plastics and Philips Screws This is how WL Toys 1/12 looks https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...839de671ac.jpg Shiny plastic, philips, poor design wheels, all in one receiver/esc in same, and very toy.ish body design with stickers like SUPER CAR, RACING, |
Looks SLOOOW hahaha
https://youtu.be/QPN1tx480tA You must Convert this to Brushless !!! ? Will it handle Brushless is the question. Is the driveline tough enough ? |
call me crazy but im actually looking forward to these. iv got a Wheely King and it's a great size and speed for general backyard monster mayhem. of this truck gets any kind of traction hopefully we'll see some 1/12 truck bodies hit the market. the HPI bodies are getting hard to find and all they have left is the Savage XS truck and El Camino bodies.

Not directed at Smirk, really just this seems to be a trend in RC. Take a nice but lower power truck, overpower it, then whine about how the driveline can't handle the power. But back on topic, did this truck ever get released? |

I read somewhere that it doesnt even have full bearings. It has bronze bushings in a few places. Talk about cutting corners. I think its a little over priced for what it is.
