Default 1/10 Traxxas E-Revo discontinued? New release coming soon?

I have been watching the market lately and saw that the E-Revo is sold out just about everywhere. A couple retailers list the item as restocking later this month, but I was told that was just a guess based on the usual time product is ordered and delivered from the distributor.

Rumors are abound that the truck has been discontinued so that Traxxas can focus on new X- series vehicles, which may include an updated and larger e-revo.

Anyone have the scoop or care to speculate?

The Revo truck was designed 15 years ago. I think it's time for an update... LOL. I can't believe Traxxas has been milking that plastic for that long. It needs some MAJOR improvements if it wants to compete against the current RTR king, the Arrma Kraton.

don't need for a bigger revo, just a revo with a real 1/8 transmission... and a metal chassis of course..

I suppose it’s possible. It’s definitely over due for modernizing. I do expect them at some point to do something else based off the XMaxx chassis.

I'm sure there is plenty of stock remaining in local shops, but the sudden unavailability by the large retailers is worth noting.

Real question is why are they still on shelves??

The 4 hobby shops I frequent all have revos on the shelf as well with inch thick of dust lol!

An average new comer has a budget so when they are offered a traxxas product they get hit by “sticker shock” then hobby clerk pulls down an arrma kraton for less coin and brushless what do you think the outcome is 10 out of 10 Times?

Lol! And just for the record I’m not Anti-traxxas

I still own a few although some barely have traxxas parts on them I will never buy another unless free

Reason? Every single time I take one out it breaks and that’s more money on top of the inflated sticker price. I pay extra for supreme quality not New Bright quality.

Depends. The Arrma brand has still yet to cross over to the RC outsider. They like the name they know, or have at least heard of before.
And then there is still the aftermarket. There’s enuff available for the ERevo to personalize it. The Kraton is a solid truck by everything I’ve seen and read. But the aftermarket has been slow to get to it. When multiple bodies start being available for it. That’s when the Kraton, and Arrma will have crossed into mainstream

Totally true and it probably depends on area and shops on what they want to push.

I’m in the st.louis area so that’s what is going on here.

Also on aftermarket candy for arrma there is a guy who makes a boat load of different
Stuff for those trucks and he is from Australia.
