Not first brand to really do it. Iíve got a couple vehicles from Carisma. Clearly states inside that changing conectors voids warranty. I did anyways.

XT60. Everybody should be switching to XT60 connectors.

It's not a bad thing that Traxxas is making their connectors unavailable. That means people won't be able to switch their non-Traxxas batteries and ESCs to them and that battery manufacturers won't use them. Traxxas could have helped kill their own plug which would be great.

Sorry but it should be my choice in what plug I can use or can’t use. If traxxas don’t like it then they should make kits instead and let us hobby supporters choose our electronics.

I had no idea about the Traxxas connector issue. Boy, they make it really tough for me to like them and want to buy Traxxas products.

You do have a choice. It's called cutting pliers and a soldering iron.

so much misinformation in this rogers hobby write up.. we all have know back when brushless motors hit the market some esc and motors would not work on others esc(novak),,i personally don't see traxxas connectors vanishing from anywhere ..all my local hobby stores have racks of the id plugs...id like to see some actual facts ..no thanks to rogers lol..

Interesting about plastic breaking in cold weather like dude was talking about in the video posted in other thread.

Parts support does scare me about the 1/7 truck. I like to modify and modifying traxxas can be expensive.

Which video was that. Iíve still yet to have something break that I can truly blame on cold.

That video linked above I think, or the next in series made by that dude. I just broke my db8 running in super cold, the plastic part that broke I've never broken in decent temperatures.

It's a real thing.

It should be noted that I highly doubt mr. Kelly runs his rcs like I do. For instance, my db8 was packed full of snow so to clean it I did a traction roll at high speed, lol.

I wonder what the retail price will be on this new e-revo. Anyone care to guess?

I'm going to say $649.
