So, how freaking stupid would a solid axle rear end licensed ford raptor be?

That is excessive. My lhs charges 20 an hour, for most work.
I have them do my soldering at $1/joint, because they do a much cleaner job than I can do. And I have had them build shocks for me for $10 a set when I feel super lazy.

I BS you not I watched Mark Twain hobby charge a kid $82 to swap out a titan motor! That was motor included price.

I feel like they would have to have addressed that. I would hope so. That has been the major complaint for the life of the Gen1 ERevo. Not going to lie, I would love it if the new one had a beefed up drivetrain and it worked in the Gen1. I would swap those parts into mine haha. But my Erevo has been good to me, for the most part. Fun truck.

The battery boxes. While Iíve liked the enclosed case. It severely limits battery options. My one issue with is that they are moving toward use of ď Traxxas batteries onlyĒ.

That is a very bad mood for veteran hobbyists, but it's good business for Traxxas and it makes it so, so easy for newbies. It has pros and cons.

But as a veteran you should know it's so easy to get around that.

Absolutely. If I change connection and void warranty. No big thing to me. But to those just buying first time. It does limit options. Till I talked to store owner about connections, never realized how much warranty work people try to pass off.

The post didn't read that way. I'm sure we were all wondering why it would be a stupid move by Traxxas

Wait ... I didn't hear about this. You can't change the Traxxas connectors any longer? That can't be a real thing.

It started about a year ago. Local Hobbytown could not buy Traxxas connectors. They stopped making them available. Guess warranty claims were getting high. Nobody wants to take blame that they might have made mistake or less then perfect job.
As far as I know itís not official yet. But at some point changing conectors will void the warranty. Itís not too big of deal for most of us experienced owners. 100+ vehicles, Iíve used Customer service 3 times. But for those starting out.

Hereís a thing from Big Squid about it. When it became a thing over summer on Facebook

That is crazy. I guess I don't really have to worry as I don't use stock electronics in any of my Traxxas vehicles ... Its very Apple of them, lol.
