Redcat Volcano EPX: upgrading to brushless
I bought my son a Volcano EPX as his first truck and he's already outgrowing it (he can handle my XXL2e on 3S pretty decently, so the brushed Volcano feels like a snail to him now ) I'd like to upgrade it to brushless and run on 2-3s LiPo, and am looking at the redcat branded motor/ESC as well as other brands I can find on Amazon, etc.
What do you all recommend? The other brands I can find seem to be a much better value, but I don't know if they're junky compared to the Redcat. But the Redcats seems really pricey to me, and I don't even know how good the redcat stuff is.
So what do you recommend? I'd love to keep it all under $75 or so (not including LiPo).
Thanks!

Redcat is a distributor and just slaps stickers and decals on other manufacturers items.
The GoolRC stuff is as good as the stock Redcat equipment....with a nice price tag too.

That’s what I suspected! Thanks. And thanks for mentioning GoolRC. That is one I’ve been looking at.
