Fargo North Dakota Offroad Racing
Hello all.
I moved to the area in October and will be running a 4wd buggy this summer at the offroad track if racing gets going again. I may also pickup a truck to run as well.
I was wondering if anyone is interested in running a 19 Turn 4wd buggy class instead of just all out mod. I think with the return of 4wd, the various vehicles now on the market, having a spec class would be a great starting point to generate more interest in 4wd racing overall so you are not defaulting newer guys to mod.
With the 19 turn power plant, the vehicles will have great power but not to the point where you can't control it like full mod.
19 Turn 2wd buggy is a popular class at various areas now, and I believe 19 Turn 4wd can be that way too.
On to a general dicussion:
How was the turnout last year and around what time did the track open up for the season? Also, what days were races held?
What were the hot tire choices for the electric 2wd and 4wd classes?

Cain,
I raced up in Fargo quit a few times last year. It started off around May. The turn out was great right away ,but slowed with the summer. This year should be great with the new drivers stand and it sounds like the track will be larger than last year. They ran elect truck and buggy, both ended with everyone running mod. The track is very big and stock was just way to slow. The track has lots of traction and step pins seem to work the best for electric and 1/10 gas, 1/8 scale crimefighters work well, but so do badlands and knuckles? Gas classes seem to be the largest.
If you look at the North and South Dakota forum at the top you can view Fargo racing.

Hey all, I realize this is for off road racing but I was wondering if you know of any on road nitro racing in the area. I sometimes travel there to visit family and I would like to race if it is possible.
Thanks. Tenderfoot
