Default NEW TRACK COMING TO SIOUX FALLS AREA

Just wanted to spread the word, There will be a new Off-road and dirt oval going up in Brandon, SD in Aspen Park. Off-road will be 200 x 150 with a 175 x 120 dirt oval. we are hoping to have racing some time in may weather permitting. I will get into more details as we get closer to getting everything ready to go.

Thanks Jason Stough

Sounds good Jason. Nice to hear that its still an idea thats going to happen. What type of dirt? Thats a biggggg offroad track. Turn off for electrics possibly? Dont forget a elevated pit late!

Default new track

Thanks Ben, new track will be fine for electric. I believe the track in Omaha is 180x100, so don't think the extra 20 feet in length is going to make any differnece to a electric car. Jason

That sounds awesome! How will the track be organized/managed? What I mean is, will it be a private club maintained by the members, city owned and maintained? OPen to the public.

Default thanks for the offers

Gil Haugan and my self will be running the track for races. Track will be open to the public to come and practice once completed. Sure will take all the help we can get. once everything starts to come in. we got 2500 feet of the new yellow pipe coming and ordered everything to get the new drivers stand completed. Still working on getting another timing system. On look out for good used setup, if comes down to it will just purchase new. So anyone her of anything for sale let me know. Good to her from you Brian, looking forward to doing some racing this summer. Jason

Is the drivers stand going to be built with ramp or steps? I use a wheelchair and a ramp would be real cool.

Default forgot to mention

final size of the tracks will be (Off-road 192' x 108' 12' lanes, Oval will be 160' x 90' 15' lanes) everything seemed bigger when your walking it off by foot till you put the tape too it. so put into perspective with other tracks Hobby town Omaha 180 x 80 off-road and hartford oval is 105 x 75. Thanks jason
