Default MMR Direct Oval racing

Up Comming
Schedule.. Some great new classes look to be developing out of the summer groups.

First rule is for everyone to have fun! Remember that we are a club that is built only as strong as the support we get from our club members!!

*** All Oval classes at MMR are blinky mode, Any Non adjustable esc, or any adjustable timing esc in sportsman mode. NO TIMING! ***

Legends--- 17.5 brushless with 1s battery or 27 turn brushed motor with a 3 cell Nimh battery. All esc’s should be 125.00 or less, (Remember that this is a starter class, let’s keep it that way) The only thing we will be enforcing this year is a max rollout rule of 2.0, which means for example if you have 44 tooth pinion and a 82 tooth spur and a 2.22 diameter tire you would be at 3.74 rollout you would be over the allowable rollout and you would be required to change. We have allowed upgrades to the car to make them more durable these will still be allowed.

Stock Stadium Truck----- 17.5 2s lipo or any RTR with FACTORY INSTALLED Electronics. *** If you change anything other than the servo then you will be required to change the motor to 17.5
** NO Aftermarket Oval lowering kits, this also means no Touring car size shocks also. You must meet the 15 mm minimum ride height ( NO LOWER) Any foam Truck tires or any Rubber Truck tires that DO NOT damage the track ! This is very important! Any off-road truck body, no side dams.

Bombers---- Any 4 wheel independent suspension chassis and any rear wheel drive, 3 gear style transmissions, “NO DIRECT DRIVE and NO BELT DRIVE” will be allowed. 17.5 Motor and 2s lipo along with any of the McAllister Street Stock bodies. (NO EDM, No Late model bodies will be allowed).

ORT/Spec Truck------------- As the name describes, the ORT /Protoform truck body only (part number 1227), any pan car style chassis, we have a recommended (but not mandatory) tire package in place for this class (It will consist of the R/F being a black compound and the other 3 tires being a white compound) this is brought about to try and keep the class simple as it is a starter pan car class. You can run the BSR Spec tire package (yellow stripe) (part number 4003 BSRF) that LefthanderRC sells but it is not mandatory just an affordable option. There will be an open battery, and open esc, as long as the esc meets MMR Oval rules of blinky only.
17.5 Motor and 1s lipo. Minimum ride height is 4 mm and minimum weight is 36 oz. Rear spoilers only and maximum of 1” is allowed.

Super Stock class----This is a new class for this season, it is any pan car style chassis, any NASCAR style body, 1” max rear spoiler only! No Wings and no cutouts in back of the car (Rear bumper must remain) any 2s lipo with a 21.5 motor or any 1s with a 10.5 motor can compete in this class. Again the minimum ride height is 4mm; minimum weight is still 36 oz.

All Dirt Oval Classes (EDM, LATEMODEL, And SPRINTER) are 13.5 2s lipo in blinky mode. *** This is subject to change if the cars are “out of control” to fast***

**** All Sprinters will have to remove top wing *****
Flag Pole Cars-- also new this year and will be on our Saturday schedule only. MMR VTA’s rules will apply with addition to allowing “any” rubber touring car tire. And “any” vintage or stock car type body will be allowed. Again no spoiler or wing add on’s will be allowed and the rear of the car must remain intact.

We will race 2 Thursdays and 2 Saturdays next season Schedule will be available sometime around June 1 2012 the summer Thursday dates are going to be tentatively June 7th, July 5th, August 2nd and September 6th.

Are the Bolink cars (legend & digger) still available? Anyone run the HPI F1/Indy car at all? All these cars are low budget and should provide a lot of exciting racing actions.

I'm sure I'll be in whenever I can. Current classes I could run would be:

Legend
Stock Truck
Touring Car
Limited Late Model (Buggy chassis)
17.5 LM (Dirt Oval chassis)
And if there were a Stock or Spec pan car class, I might be interested.

Ron is up for a spec pan car class. He'll either run the 17.5 spec (truck?)or 13.5 spec.

We are looking at locking in the second Saturday of every month starting in oct. I have a possible conflict in early oct which we are waiting to get firmed up so we can post the schedule.

Doors will open at 9:30
Looking to start quails in the 12:00 area.

17.5 truck with spec wgt tires is looking to be the hot class this year if I was to go with the current chatter I am hearing.

That would be a pan car chassis with the Protoformm ORT truck body on it. I believe they will have a class for the off-road trucks.

Can't wait to see rules on this class. When I heard something about "spec" I thought spec car....but this sounds like open chassis. I might do some shopping.

Just wondering if there going to be a rule's/class meeting for this season like last year, Or is it going to just be 17.5 truck and the legends classes?
