I plan on running mod foam. Hopefully we can keep it going for a while.

Default Nitro touring

I'm starting to get the itch to go nitro. The NTC3 looks pretty well built. Any suggestions?

Did anyone notice how fast we went through the heats last night. It seems like the goal is to get done early, if thats the case then we should start earlier. Maybe around 4:00 or 5:00.

It felt like we were a herd of cattle being pushed into slaughter.

They were gone through as normal, race, 2 minutes between heats, then next race is up. Each round is at least 45 minutes long. If the round takes 45 minutes, we go right into the next round. Thats the way it was set up last summer so racers could time the charging of their batteries. Saturday their did not seem to be nearly as many racers minutes called though

sponge, it did seem to go pretty quick, but I don't think starting any earlier is a good answer because some people go straight from work to the track, and can't get there earlier. But, with 45mins+ per round, there's really not much you can't do to your car between heats.

I suppose your right Jeff. Maybe having a 15 or 20 minute break between rounds would work. Personally I don't care how late we go but maybe others do.

Its probably a 50/50 split on racers wanting to get done in a timely manner to racers not caring if it takes all night. After all was done we took about 1 hour per round.

with the amount of entries on saturday it did look like it would take awhile to go through the races but everything went smooth and with 8 entries in 3 of the classes, we ran them in a single heat. If we split one up we would have had to split up all of them adding about 25 minutes per round. (1-1/12th scale and 2 sedan heats.)

The problem with running all 8 of them in one heat was the first car was passing the last car before it was told to go.

The Race directer then has to start them a little quicker and not be interupted by other racers while doing so, we are still figuring out just how quick to get them going since the racers wanted to be started IFMAR for on-road to space them out. The racers also have to get use to being ready to go when told to or it holds up the racers going behind them as I have witnessed that being a problem also.

I'm going to throw a 10t in my losi on wednesday for practice but I haven't run a MOD since my backyard bashing days Where abouts should I start the gearing with a 128t spur(and rubber tires)? I was thinking maybe 26tooth.
