Guys,Rubber tire was 1 second a lap slower then foam at the 09 nats.mod rubber and 13.5 foam lap times would be close I think.I am going to try rubber because I believe that class has more entries typically at larger events like the Novak race and I hate chunking foam tires.

I like both rubber & foam the same. Either way im game for the classes.
If there two classes one foam and one rubber ill race both!
I just raced my 13.5T motor at MMR and man did it go throught a set of jaco Dbl pinks. During the race i think you could visual see the tires getting smaller. (just kidding of course)

Bulls&%T boys!!!!!these cars are for real men run what you brung!!!!
On a more serious note, Don't go splitting the class like that it will kill it before it has started. For christ sake there are only a handful of us that are talking about racing sedan. I for one am sick of the bickering about batts and motors. lets show up run and see what comes of it, make a gentlemens agreement among those that are actually at the track. so far Brandon and I are the only ones that have put a car down this summer.
And Chris I have no problem turning you everytime I come around to lap again, so don't mess with the Bull you might get the horns.

Just my 2 cents... I don't run this class much, back in the day, when I did, it was no good mixing the two classes, foam and rubber, they drive too different, much more finesse with rubber, keep rolling, etc, foam is more jam it in (that's what she said!) crank the corner, go hard, plus like Sandy says, don't wanna split the classes even more, in the old days, it was only rubber, was a total game of who has the freshest tires, the right compound of rubber, the right insert, the right flex rim, the best tire traction plan, etc. etc... Foam was little simpler, but it's own set of problems, chunking, truing, ride height, etc.. The only way in my opinion that a rubber tire class works, is if there is a contol premounted tire, and that's all you can run, too many variables otherwise...
Control tires often have their own issues, not everyone drives the same, likes the same traction balance, different brand cars behave different on the same tire, etc... No easy answer here.... JEFF
