Lets put it this way. I ran out on the sand flat that the city owns between me and the airport in town for a sloid 25 minutes. Stopped came in an thru the packs on the charger and charged them back up putting 3800 mAh into each one. Just shy of half the packs at 25 minutes. 50 minutes is easy 60 would be tight. I know the 8400 35C packs will do 60 plus. What's even better is that if I run the 8400's all I have to do is put a different spring spacer in the rear for the added weight and it's like I'm running the 8000's again. You'll be very happy with the pro kit I have a few more parts coming for mine and it will be a Pro Kit when I finish it. I will be updating the article at www.nitrokillers.com with all the updates. This will include a tear down of the diffs for Oil install, Center CVD's, Aluminum Chassis braces, And a few other goodies.

Thats great that the packs are giving that great of runtime from your testing. They should easily make the timeframe we are looking at then for the main. My maxamps 6000mah 4S pack was good for 20 minute mains, and for bashing sessions of about 30 minutes or more when combined with the Neu 1512 2.5D motor.

for motor, I would look into neu 1512 2.5D motor or a Medusa 2000Kv 60mm V2 motor.

A 2000ish Kv motor works quite well on 4S, and can handle 5S usage as well. rustlerboi is running a neu 1512 2.5D, and I have both the 2.5D and the medusa I mentioned above.

for gearing, I would say picking the following pinions for this motor kv ratings:

18 - 20T

Did he state where he was going to post the info? With a month and a half to go It would be nice to know now instead of a week before. I need to know if I should stock up on any spare parts, tires, and other goodies now rather than scrambling to get the stuff a week before the event or getting the stuff and then it's not gonna happen. Let me know what he come up with as soon as you can.

Most likely it will be posted on the mnnitroseries board and on rctech. I will post the info as soon as I see it.

I will give him a holler this weekend to see how things are going.

Ok, I know everyone has been wondering about the electric rules. As long as enough sign up I will run a 2wd(truck or buggy) 1/10 scale class. 5 min Quals and Mains. I will also run a 1/8th scale class(truggy or buggy) running 7 min Quals and 15 min Mains. Motor rules for both are open. A 4wd class could be run as well running 5/5 too. This is all dependent on turnout the day of the race. There needs to be 7 in a class to run. I will allow the 2wd electric trucks to run with gas truck if there is not enough for the electric class. There will not be trophies for these electric classes.

On a side note. Monster Truck will also be added and electrics can run here with the nitros. This will be a trophy class.

The only thing different about the winter series will be 7 min quals. The rules per class will go along with R/C Pro rules.

Mains-
25 Min A's in Pro
20 Min A's in Sportsman
15 Min Lower's in Pro
10 Min Lower's in Sportsman

I am contemplating a 20 min 50/50 race(one for truggy and one for buggy) on Friday night just to have some fun. It would be $5(on top of practice) and the first 20 entries get to race 20 mins to win half of the entry money. It would be split between the top 3. Let me know yes or no how you guys feel about that.

I think it would be cool if all of us 1/8th scale conversion guys that plan on going would post pics of our setups in this thread, just to see where we are all at in terms of voltage, motors, esc's, etc?? I think it would be cool to know what other people are running, just maybe to keep it competitive

Here is my MBX-6

Zippy 4S (Maybe 5S- still not finalized)
Neu 1512 2.5D
MMM
