FAST N FURIOUS!!!!

Seriously, I'd like to race electric indoor off-road again. Nitro's okay when I want to feel frustrated and spend a huge amount of money on something that I don't know how to tune. LOL
Did you learn how to do a wheelie on your crotch rocket without flipping over yet? All that POWER!!! BRRAAAAAPPPPPP!!!

That would be sweet if Skare came and raced with us again! He was fast! (and funny sometimes)

I'm not hearing any real rock solid proposals here for Winter racing. So I have a couple of hypothetical questions to ask.

1. Is a space aproximately 36' x 53' large enough to run a carpet track on ?

2. Would people be willing to race in Hampton MN ? About one block off of hwy 52 just south of hwy 50.

3. How many nights a week would we need to be open ?

4. In a spec Stock sedan class would people be willing to purchase consumables at the track. Ie : Tires, motors, possibly some spare parts as time and funds allow.

36x53 would be close for stock racing. If that's the biggest you can get go for it!
If you are only going to run stock, run a super stock and a stock class. This will keep the new drivers from getting discouraged by the fast guys and keep them coming back.
36x70 or bigger would be ideal for stock.
36x80 or bigger would be good for mod as well.
I think the track they had last in south mpls was a little tight for sedan racing. Sedan is by far the biggest class now.
Good luck getting this going! I will be there for a few races!
later

Size:

CRC raceway have 60x36 track and if you look their web page http://www.teamcrc.com/crcraceway/mo...showpage&pid=4

you can see with narrower lines you get drivable track layouts. It is not going to be like old TCHR airport runway road course but I don’t see any problems to tight things up a little. Also traction will build up faster when lap times are lower because increased traffic.

Race days:
I think for my self one evening per week will be doable over longer time.

I know it is a bit tight which is why I am looking for some imput. 12th scale would be no issue, and I forget what size the Lakeville track was.

My plan was possibly for one or two weeknights, and go from there if demand requires. Saturday is a definate possibility as well if we can get done by Dinner time.

Sundays are out unless I find someone I would want to run it.

UNO

Isn't anyone playing UNO, it's the latest craze on xbox360. Especially if you have the camera too. It's really cool. Also, I would just kinda like to know why the clock on this site is all screwed up. It tells me that the last post was today at 8 o'clock p.m. I'm sure it's about that time somewhere in the world, but nowhere here in the U.S.

Track size, 53x36 is just to small to run on IMO. And as far as a spec class goes, foam is king right now and its much harder to spec out a foam class.

when you say a spec stock class, are you talking like those trinity spec cars or any sedan and a spec tire/motor combo?

Well, somebody give me a holler when I have to write a $1600 check to put a XXXcr on the track. I'll run it for a few months then sell it all for $500! LOL
