Are we allowed to run any tire for this race? Is there a limit to the number of new sets of tires you can run? Sounds like stupid questions but week to week we run house rules just want to make sure it's the same...:sneaky:

Should be the same as usual. Powers 34 or Sweep 36 is a track rule set by John. Limit 1 new set for the day is a gentlemen's agreement that most everyone abides by and usually there is no issue with this. I'd imagine we will stick with that unless John wants to enforce a limit rule. With the way the Powers 34 performs, I think the current agreement is perfect.

Ive updated the first post of this thread as well as the wiki post at the top to include the latest event sponsors as well as listing the legal TC tires

Agreed. Just some other thoughts--a lot of drivers (Gee, Danny, Xman, Dodge, Jason, myself) usually put on a new set of Team Powers 34 tires for the second round of qualifying. This allows you to get into a resort for round 2, and then you have 2 good qualifying runs on those tires.

The second run on TP34 tires has the ability to go just as fast as the first--I have had runs faster on the second run of the tires in round 3 of qualifying (given the right track conditions), so there is really no issue of massive fall off.

so are we running 17.5 or spec 13.5

13.5 Spec has really taken off the last few weeks, and has been a great time for everyone. To make sure we have enough motors for this weeks charity Race (JULY 22nd, Saturday) and get a headstart, we wanted to make sure to start a roll call, specifically for 13.5 Spec TC. I may have missed some racer who have paid for the season--please add your name if that is the case! A "Season" buy in (for $45) guarantees that you have a motor for each weekend you come out to race. There is a $15 "rental" fee if you are looking to just come out once.
