Default Moderators? Possible to get a For Sale Thread in the Regional Forums?

I know for sale belongs in the for sale section, but it would be GREAT to be able to advertise and find things in the local area. Sometimes things are too much of a hassle to ship or it's easier to pick up at the local track.

I would think a single for sale thread in the Mid-Atlantic here would be helpful.

Thanks

I don't think they want this part of the forums to go that direction but I'll ask.

I know that you won't get a dedicated "For Sale" sub forum. But we do tend to allow the OCCASIONAL thread for items that people want to sell locally ONLY. Either because they want to make a local deal with people they know or the item is simply to big to reasonably ship. We tend to let the regional mods monitor this stuff. Again, these need to be local sales only. If you're looking to sell a car for example with a thread in the For Sale forum. And you create a thread in here, or post linking to that thread. You're gonna get hammered.

I'm willing to let the regional mods make the final call and decide if they want to allow and monitor this stuff. In MY regional forum we don't have an issue with it. But my region also has 4 super mods and the site admin in it.

Ok, I'm fine with giving it a try. Just keep it the same rules as the regular for sale forum, which you guys all already know.

We have a dedicated FS forum for just stuff sold locally inside the Northwest. It works well. Do NOT make individual threads for an item... make a dedicated thread that everybody can post in. Check out the one in the Northwest forum... I would model it after that one.

Thanks!

I just made it for them and pinned it. We'll see how it goes.
