Excited to announce new 1/8 scale Track in Laplata Md . We will be forming a club in the next week. We welcome all racers any skill level. Please send me your contact info so The club can keep you updated. we want input from everyone to make the best possible racing experience. Once we have our non profit status we will be seeking businesses and companies to donate material and funds for the track construction. Stay tuned the area is cleared and hope to start in the next few weeks. would love to have track completed this year with a soft opening to tweak everything. that way we can start the 2016 season rolling.

Will you be running strictly 1/8 only or will you be running other classes as well???

Focusing on 1/8 scale buggy truggy and if there is enough 4x4 short course

Next step is roar track membership should be in next week . Then a club meeting of all interested to discuss layouts etc.

How did everything go with ROAR?

The Roar stuff is easy. We have to meet with town to go over location of drivers stand etc. we would like to clear some more vegitaion and such just need approval from town. In the end I think its gonna make for an amazing track experience when completed.

I was there a couple of days ago checking it out again. I agree. on the hill, right below the clubhouse, that big bush needs to be removed, the tree on the back side and to the right with the blue(maybe green, I don't remember) and the large bush directly to the left could all be removed for the betterment of the track.

Also I was looking at the soil. it is a very fine dusty soil. Is the plan to get some clay brought in?
