Good times Saturday. While my tc program is out to lunch/obsolete..The f1 is making some progress. Not sure what else can be said about the track... We are lucky to have a perfect racing surface.

I picked up a 1/12 car. What foams seem to work there? Most people running 13.5?

I'd seriously consider starting with a 17.5 first -we'll see more entries for that class as we get things in full swing later this fall. Trying to learn the nuances of piloting a pan car successfully would be difficult for a beginner at 13.5 speeds.

Tire choice - start with black fronts, yellow rears. We can cut them to the appropriate size once we're at the track.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking of start with 17.5 to try and limit the crash damage.
Are most running crc foams?

CRC or BSR tires seem to be the tire of choice these days. It's always been my preference, but I've used the Jaco/Parma tires with some success as well. The most important thing is to get on the track with a decent setup, and get some wheel and wrench time.
