Default SJCCR at Wagner Park 2014 "Counter Clockwise Edition"

It's almost time to get outside for more SJCCR Racing at Wagner Park in Williamstown N.J.!!!!

I have some new ingredients for this years recipe, including some 1/5th scale action!

This year will start a two season plan (2014 and 2015) in which this year, I want to fund a complete layout change (reseal and repaint) for 2015

This will be our fourth year on the current layout, so running it counter clockwise will give it a whole new feel until the makeover in 2015.

Classes will be the usual Wagner Park suspects....USVTA, Nitro VTA, 17.5 TC, and Modified Nitro....1/5th is being factored in....

Other interested classes are always welcome on ANY race day!

May 18th- Non Points Race

June 1st

June 8th- 1/5th Scale

June 15th

June 22nd- 1/5th Scale

June 29th

July 13th-

July 27th- 1/10th and 1/5th Day!

August 10th

August 24th

August 31st- 1/5th Scale

Note: Dates marked 1/5th Scale will also include 1/8th and GT if we get interest in those classes. Other dates are for all current 1/10th Scale classes.

Practice at 11am....First heat at 1pm for all classes.

DIRECTIONS TO WAGNER PARK:

For gps, use 2083 S. Black Horse Pike, Williamstown N.J. 08094....This is the house at the entrance to Wagner Park.

For non gps, Wagner Park is 1/2 mile south of Peters Diner on the Black Horse Pike (heading toward the shore, between mile markers 27 and 28)

Look for the high tension lines that cross the Black Horse Pike, and the park is directly underneath them. Just turn down the Wagner Park access road, and the track is behind the tennis courts and hockey rink.

Sounds good Ray! I just today dusted off the VTA car, painted a new body for it, and weighed it in at 1555g. I read the USVTA rules that stated a minimum weight this year of 1550g (so I'm VERY good!) My 1/5 scale cars are good to go for their first day out (even have brakes!) I have a wedding Friday so I may be a bit groggy Saturday, but I'll be there,LOL!

Hey Ray, looking forward the 2014 season, me D Lee & a few others are looking to throw our hats into the bucket list 1/5 scale class this season. I heard U might be on Sunday for discussion on portable barriers for the extended layout, any truth to the rumor? If so C U there . Nice thinking with the new direction for the track too, give folks new records to shoot for.

That's great news! If we can get enough big cars out we may be able to get Whosold involved in a gasoline car...

Looking forward to racing at your track Ray. I raced with Will this Sunday at BD. He bought a 5th scale FG. I bought an FG Sportsline 530.
