Arrow G-Force Hobbies ON-ROAD Racing

This is the Official G-Force Hobbies On-Road Racing Thread. Thanks to all those who have supported this hobby retailer and racing program in the past and thanks to all those who are taking the time to check us out for the first time.

Please always refer back to these first few posts for the latest information about the program or special events. We will do our best to always keep this up to date.

Our retail storefront is located in Tax-Free Delaware at the following address:

G-Force Hobbies, Inc.
119 Kirkwood Square
Wilmington, DE 19808
(302) 995-9035
www.gforcehobbies.com
Physical GPS Address:
Latitude : 39.712056 | Longitude : -75.675437
Store Hours:
Monday through Saturday, 10am-8pm
Sunday, Noon-5pm

Our track facility is located just a short drive from the retail location and is within Blue Diamond Park in New Castle, Delaware. The address is as follows:

Blue Diamond Park
761 Hamburg Road
New Castle, DE 19720
Physical GPS Address:
Latitude : 39.618662 | Longitude : -75.637788

The driver's stand is covered and has a bump-out for wheelchairs and a ramp leading up to the top of the deck. We will have rudimentary parts support trackside each week - primarily tires/wheels and regular racing supplies. A trip to the retail store is very quick and can usually be made between racing rounds easily. There is A/C electricity available, running water, and portable toilets on site.

You are certainly welcome to bring your own tables, chairs, canopies (EZ-Ups), and extension cords.

There's plenty of parking space - including room for RV's and trailers.

Our AMB timing system will accomodate MRT and AMB transponders (the RC4 Hybrid 2-wire transponder will work, but not the RC4 3-wire transponder). We offer house rental transponders trackside and we will offer the RC4 Hybrid transponder for sale.

Practice

Daily Fee: $10.00
Annual Membership (unlimited practice days): $60.00 (access to both On-Road & Off-Road tracks)
** Memberships are available trackside and at the retail store.

Practice Times are as follows:
Monday - Closed (Park Closed)
Tuesday - 10am to 6pm
Wednesday - Noon to 8pm
Thursday - 10am to 6pm
Friday - Noon to 8pm
Saturday - 8am to 8pm
Sunday - Closed for Racing Events

** Please be aware that at some times, maintenance will be performed on the track which may interfere with designated practice times. We will do our best to ensure this does not happen, but when it does, we will post it online.

Lightbulb Volunteer Day #1

After receiving some phone calls recently, we have decided to utilize the great weather expected this weekend for working on the on-road track. We've scheduled the time at 10:00am this upcoming Sunday, the 23rd of February. We will have additional days coming up before opening for volunteers to gather for working on the track (painting, etc).

All are welcome to help out! Let's get this party started!

Yes sir let's try and get this thing rolling, suggestions are always welcome and encouraged, but what is needed is people with us at the track getting the work done. So any and everybody let's try and get this season prepared. Thanks in advance to anyone able to make it and who thought about making it.

Wanted to say thanks for all the positive replies on the phone as well as new thread. Daniel Herbert is going to be a great help in pulling our 2014 program together, On road as well as Off road. His knowledge and connections will bring us some of the biggest races Blue Diamond tracks have ever seen. I can only hope that all of you will show your support. As for this weekend if you are coming down to help on road repairs if you have a screw gun or circular saw please bring it as it should be all we need this weekend. G Force Hobbies will pay for all of the materials and have them there. Thanks guys.
ITS GONNA BE A GREAT YEAR!!!

Congrat's to Daniel Herbert for helping out with the 2014 Blue Diamond Program. Please note that that I am more than happy to assist you in anyway possible to promote the comtinue success of Blue Diamond racing program.

My hope is that this year a 1/5 scale onroad classes can be established and some major/ trophy events can be scheduled (to which I know I have to provide John with a ready to run sedan on race day). Hopefully, we can discuss later before the season starts and the race schedule is provided.
