Default ROAR Region 2 Carpet Onroad/Offroad Championships

You see correctly.

Same weekend, onroad and offroad under the same roof.

Coastal has two separate tracks and driver's stands, and the action will be alternating between them all weekend.

SXT prep only.

Spread the word and join the fun.

It’s wild to me you guys are still trying to push forward with this race right now. A bunch of your club members just got back from that off-road race in Florida that appeared to be a corona free for all and a 180 club member tested positive this past week, so half the current on road entries should really be staying home if they care about their fellow human beings. Entries appear very thin across on road and off-road. I want this race to happen, but now is not the right time for it.

I'm not connected to the decisions and running of the track or event.

Adults are going to have to make adult decisions, and are encouraged to do so.

Default Why....?

It's hard to believe you guys are putting this race before the health of the RC community. There are a ton of people who want to support this race but just not during the height of the pandemic. I understand times might be tight but this will definitely rub a lot of people in Region 2 the wrong way...and ultimately may hurt future race turnouts.

I see 180 racing this weekend. Along with many other tracks across the country. Are they also putting the health of the rc community at risk?

I didn't say stop racing, just hold off on having a regional race where the turnout could potentially be large.

PS...The yearly WWII race we had planed has been cancelled. So actually 180 is thinking about the safety of the RC community.

This race is already smaller than anticipated. And with our covid precautions masks, distancing, drivers stand dividers we are being cautious. We are very proactive in protecting our RC community. Thanks for your concerns but we have to pay the bills somehow.
