Targeting, I read a lot about the Losi mini vs the LC Racing and there are fans in both sides... but not sure I trust most the opinions. I do trust your opinion though and would love to hear your thoughts on the differences between the Losi Mini 8 DB and the LC Racing 1/14 DB.

Thanks for all the awesome vids and builds!

LC Racing is a pure racing machine ready to RACE.... (with still alot of options from LCRacing itself rather then aftermarket parts)

Losi Mini8ight-DB is a pure RTR (Ready to REBUILD) machine...(with a lot of aftermarket options that must BE installed or else it decays at every pack runs)

Things that happen to me and are notorious for other people on the Losi Mini8ight-DB:

-The runaways from the rx/tx...are caused by the antenna that sits horizontally along the batery and motor (worst possible scenario for a rx antenna!!!), and is not VERTICAL. Once you got vertical outiside the body problem goes aways permanentley. They should solved this at the factory...but...(If you want to keep stock rx/tx) this is a fix!
-The stock motor will not handle 3s at all. It will last only a pack or less...i did this runing stock gearing and at the end of the first pack, motor was smoked. I only run 3s on this thing (take note i use a big lipo)
-Dogbones are made of brass/pot metal. Better if was plastic instead.... it's a downgrade from the Losi Mini 8ight buggys!! I use to run 4s and 5s on speed runs for YEARS and still got the same dogbones! This on a 2 to 3 packs they bent! Need to find harder ones of go CVD's...
-ESC needs a fan...which is easy job to do...but should come stock!

As for the LCRacing DB...since it's a racing machine i will stick to 2s and put the biggest lipo it can fit, and call it DONE! Having one issue... stripped spur's...need to figure that out! Don't know if motor slides from motor mount, even loctited, or to BIG lipo...or there is something more (second hand, things!!)...that i still haven't figure it out...i am on my 3 spur in a half a dozen of packs...maybe going steel and loctite everything and should do, hopefully!!

Just my 2 cents about this matter...

I like the 2 rc's..if you can, or pretend to stay in RC 1/14... buy them. One each year! That's what i did.

The Mini8ight DB was bought new, and the LCRaing DB bought second hand...

I had a lot of problems with stripped gears until I used the Hotracing steel spurs and pinions. No more problems after that.

Hey man,
I'm not sure what you're referring to. There's no dogs in that video. I'm a big fan of the huskies though. Beautiful dogs.

Does anyone happen to know what the stock shock length (eye to eye) is for the mini 8 dB? (In millimeters).

Thank you.
