mini monster choices

OP still here reading as well. I am looking at the Savage XS since it could share the 2s 5000mah packs that I run in my Rival but at the same time Id really like a 1/18th or 1/16th instead.

The best value RTR would probably be the brushless Valor. It's less than $200.00 and it's fast and durable.
Getting a M8T roller and installing the necessary upgrades to the drive line and a torquey motor might be the best mini monster overall. IMO

1/16 and 1/18
I own a few small scale RC's.
I have the Himoto Spino, Tacon Soar, Dromida MT4.18, Dromida SC4.18. All fun to play with, but for me, Dromida took the trophy with this class. Quick and RTR out of the box....comes with all the batteries needed to run it. Parts are available, so are the aluminum ones..... With the brushless setup, the RC is running with steriods. Brush is also quick, quick enough for my 6 year old to bash.
With all the bashing done with all these cars, the Dromida line up is the only one which hasn't broke any parts yet. The spino broke the front shock tower trying to jump. Tacon Soar, the rear passenger shock busted open, causing all the oil to leak out and leaving me crippled. Both Dromida's are equally fast and durable. Only problem I found so far is that when running in a dirt field small rocks and pebbles find their way into the gear box causing stripped gears or just pebbles wedged into the gears making a nasty clunking sound when driving the RC around.
