Default Best 3S Lipo for TRAXXAS 1/16 Mustang

I am currently using a Traxxas 1/16 Mustang Boss 302 with a CC 5700kv motor and Mamba Max ESC. I am looking to buy 3S Lipos to run in parallel mainly for speed runs. Maxamps seems to have 2250mah 100c 3S Lipos and I have seen some using Boost 1800mah 60-120c 3S Lipos. Could someone let me know what are the best 3S Lipos regardless of the price.

I checked ThunderPower. However they only have a 1400mah 35C 3S LiPo that fits 1/16 TRAXXAS Vehicles. But Castle recommends 5000mah 50C LiPos. Hence , I intend to run two LiPos in parallel t get as close to the 5000mah mark. Don't you think the Thunder Power Lipos are low mah?

Castle recommends lipos that put out 250A continuous for a 1/16 vehicle? Completely unnecessary IMHO. That's a reasonable number for 1/8th scale vehicles but not 1/16th. The largest capacity 3s lipo that fits that I could find is also 1400 mAh. Running 2 of them in parallel will gt you about 84 amps continuous which should be more than enough. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...xas_1_16_.html

It looks like its better to settle for a cheaper pack instead of wasting my money on expensive ones. I did some research and found that the following LiPos fit in the battery compartment. Please could you help me decide the best one:

1. Maxamps 1850Mah (100C supposedly)
2. Boost Nano 1800MAH LIPO 3S 60-120C
3. Turnigy nano-tech 1500mah 3S 35~70C Lipo Pack
4. Turnigy nano-tech 1800mah 3S 25~50C Lipo AIRSOFT Pack
5. Turnigy nano-tech 1400mah 3S 40~80C Lipo Pack (TRA2823 Traxxas 1/16)
6. HYPERION G3 VX 1600 MAH 3S 11.1V 35C/70C LIPOLY PACK
7. Integy LiPo 3S 11.1V 1800mAh 35C 1/16 Revo/Slash VXL
8. Thunder Power RC 1300mAh 3S 11.1V G8 Performance Pro 45C LiPo
9. Thunder Power RC LiPo 3S 11.1V 1300mAh Lghtng Ser 55C

Have any of you used the Integy or Hyperion Lipos? Haven't heard much about them.

I'd say a good bet would be the Thunder Power and the Turnigy Nano-techs. I would avoid Maxamps and Integy. I have no idea about the Boost Lipo and Hyperion.

After some research, I think I will be getting SPC 3S 1500mah 30C LiPos. Does anyone have experience with them?

I did read good comments about Boost Nano 1800MAH LIPO 3S 60-120C (got2gorc.com), but found a video showing that they were made of Zippy Cells (I don't know if this is true)

The price difference is quite a bit:
Boost Nano 1800MAH LIPO 3S 60-120C : $45
SPC 3S 1500mah 30C : $20

I am looking for the best battery regardless of the price. However, if I am not going to find a noticeable difference in power, I'd rather have the cheaper one. I am mainly going to be using the rc for Speed runs.

Any help to choose a battery would be great.

Another good option is also SMC. I saw that mentioned in your thread at URC and I agree. I've never heard anything bad about SMC or SPC, IIRC although I don't own any from either. I do have a couple of Zippy lipos and have had no problem with them. For a 1/16 vehicle, having a ton of battery power isn't going to provide a noticeable difference IMO. Two of the SPC lipos (that you listed) in parallel will provide 90 amps continuous and I doubt that you would ever exceed that.

I am surprised this video is still avaible to see...

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

I will not be surprised that all lipos in thr rc world come up from only 2 or 3 supplyers from china...

All diferences will be stickers and marketing...

An UPDATE:
I got the Boost 3S LiPos and they seem to work pretty well. The motor and ESC temperatures are pretty low too.
