Sorry, I canīt post pictures yet.
The motor is sealed, no screws to open it and maybe "glue" the parts

Hope you can help.

i feel like im going to burn it up putting it in the kemorra since it wont have near the tq the larger diameter can has

I have emailed castle. Their 4 pole 20mm diameter motors are designed for cars this weight but unsure how this 2 pole will work. if they give the ok, im throwing it in. may gear it down a little but I want to see 60+ mph haha

what you might want to do is step up to a 380 size motorhttp://www.trinityrc.net/shop/index....ry&path=72_108
you can do 60+ with the right gearing no problem. Or gear it down and smoke every one at the track.
i love mine.

im running a 60 amp esc and 2700mah 25c 2s and i run for about 15-20. and then usually switch out batteries before the cut off comes into play. using 12/50 or 52( whatever the middle and big spur gear is). Running on a sc carpet track. And my motor is luke warm.

Default Spur gear change

Hi, I just changed my first spur gear and now the car is quite slow. On full throttle it starts slow and then got more speed. I think itīs due to how I setup the spur. Do I have to loose or tight it more?. I followed Raymonīs video but when he said too tight or too loose how do I know how much to tight or loose it.
Hope you can help.

Is your slipper clutch too loose I just had to replace the diffs in my mini 8 and replaced all the bearings but when I ran it after fixing it it would drive slower and take along time to get up to speed so I tightend it till it was still slipping a little but not too much I had it to tight before (there was no slipping when accelerating from a stop) and I cased a jump and snapped two teeth off my ring gear in the front and much more broke off the rear the rear now I run it looser

My car on track runs better with it looser I would rather not spend 35 bucks on diffs when I case stuff. it took like 15 min to get it perfect but it's worth the time I'm a beginner too

Hi folks

I am back on here & back to rc again after a long 8 year break. so I have got myself a Kalahari still to be used. As I got it last week but work as got in the way ! the joys for working for oneself lol.

converter cable for the above to make it a ec3
Losi Lipo Protection Pouch

brunox turbo oil spray
Bisley Gun Grease 50ml Tub ( hope this is ok ! )

well I hope this lot sounds ok & hope it keeps me going a while now as my back balance is low for some reason .

also is there a guide for using the oil & grease ?, or do I so I just spray the oil on the moving ball joints & gears etc along with any bearings. & grease in the diff boxes.

I have re set the spur gear just in case it was not right from the factory, however how do I do the Slipper Clutch ?
do I use this way = ( I can not link anything yet )
YouTube =HorizonRC.com How To - Set your Slipper Clutch

also what else do I need to do or keep an eye on ? because I will be using this rc this coming weekend.......

many thanks.

Tired of eating spurs and having no luck at sealing the area (gear cover plus plenty of masking tape plus hot glue, no go, no matter how hard I tried to cover all the spots), decided to try steel

Needed: steel spur (it's 48p not mod 0.5), steel 48p pinion (standard 3.17mm hole) and 3.17mm (1/8") to 2mm adapter (this is made from alu)

Two issues, for those who want to try

The adapter is actually 3.3mm on the outside, so it does not just fit in the pinion. Filing required. I sled it over a 2mm drill bit, fixed at one and in the electric drill and filed the exposed half of it. Swap around, repeat.

The bearing that goes into the spur, needed hammering. Steel spur does not just give up as plastic. Will be funny to remove that bearing. Better order some in advance.

Real world test soon. Being steel on steel it's really noisy compared to stock. Bonus my motor shaft is slightly bent. First stone may just result in a serious bent shaft, since now that is the weakest point.
