Default mini for outdoor drifting?

Hey everyone, I'm new to drift cars but have been reading nonstop. First started reading on 1/10 scale drift r 's (Sprint 2) and recently found the mini scale rc's... I've seen a lot of the smaller scales say 'great for garage/basement/smooth concrete surfaces' but I would be doing it in the road/driver....Are these smaller drifters just as good as the larger scale?

..... i see you peeking!!!! no input, fella's?!

My 2 cents is that you should stick to 1/10 scale. They are much eaiser to work on and for what your doing, you want a bigger car. You will also have more choices as far as models and brands. Hope this helps.

exceed rc has many to choose from i owned two 1/10 scale they are good quality steel drive trains unlike the tamiya no mods needed . my son has burnt three set of tires to the rim and it asks for more . all stock brushed run time 15 to 25 min depending on how hard you run it . some will say go tamiys but why pay double the price for a car that needs up grades right from the box plastic everything been there done that sold it !! .

The smallest I would go would be 1/14 scale.
