Default VXL-3s on 1/16th KB Rally????

Is there any benefit to putting the VXL-3s on the 1/16 Rally in place of the VXL-3m. Im looking to run a little bigger tire and wheel combo on the car and dont want to hurt the ESC or any of the electronics. Is there anything I can do to hop-up or upgrade the car for my needs. Thanks for any help.

if you can find a place to mount it under the body, it will stay alot cooler than the vxl 3m as it doesnt have to work near as hard
good luck fitting it under that little body tho

Man, That would be Sick! The fit 550 brushed motors. Why not a 540 brushless? But you could gear it alot higher! Keep us posted

Well so far I have a FUZE 1/10 brushless ESC already mounted. I have ordered the Brushed version motor plate so I can mount a 1/10 size brushless motor. Will let you know how it goes. Will take some pics tomrow but the ESC fits with no problems at all. Just made a mounting plate for it that slides into place just as the smalle 3m did. Works perfect, right now with the 28t pinion and a 55t spur I can run speed runs until battery is dead and only hit temps of 108 degrees. That to me is worth it.... thanks for the help guys.

i did this months ago in my revo but with a sidewinder esc and a 6900kv motor... the thing was an absolute beast. i ran it with a 3s and it would just ice skate ballooning all 4 tires (dirt hawgs on beadlocks) or flip if i went over ~70% throttle if there was any traction available.

the rally will just spin tires and spin out uncontrollably.

I don't think that a VXL-3S ESC will fit under a KB Rally's body. I've only seen it on a 1/16 Summit with barely any room to spare, and a Rally doesn't have any more room under the body than the 1/16 Summit does, so I don't think that it will fit under the body.
