Well, I charged up a brand new DTX1600nimh and put my DTX street tires/wheels on it tonight and it was flying! So I had my son bring my Caster F18T with a fresh charged 1200nimh for a top speed run only to lose it and clip a curb at 26+. I broke the upper control arm, no biggie, had spares, but I broke the bottom ball joint on that aluminum hub!!! One day I'll learn to wait and run them in a more forgiving environment sans curbing! It was spinning the whole way which makes steering quite challenging, especially with a ball diff in the rear and I'm not knowledgeable of adjusting them or maintaining them.....
The Toyz is out of those aluminum hubs, so I may try loctiting the threads as that's all I damaged.

Duster360, what lipo are you running in yours and did it fit without mods?? I have a Hyperion 35c, just gotta get that charger......... I really like my Hyperion 5000kv in it. I thought it was kind of loud until I reset the pinion depth with a piece of paper. Talk about smooth now.
Wondering if this Gensace pack would work http://www.hobbypartz.com/98p-25c-1800-2s1p.html
Dim 89.79x30.2x17.3. Seems like it should fit.

Keep stock of upper front control arms..... I broke another one in the Walmart parking lot last night. Those da*& curbs. I guess a better servo helps with higher speed stability?

I've been running one of these, but its only 20C, but 2100mah so that offsets it partially -

But I don''t think they're still in business. The Gens Ace should be a good lipo if it fits.
