hitec 65mg vs hitec 5065
Hey guys,
Looking to get a new servo for my 18r, striped mine last night racing, an was curious what you think of these 2 servos. I know the 65 is analog and the 5065 is digital, but what are the advantages to either one?
Thanks,
Justin

Sorry if this may not help much but all i know from my reading on servos are digital servos can be much more accurate and faster in steering then analog. That and i know for a fact that the 65mg will be a drop in fit with the team associated servo set from thetoyz.com. Can't say on the 5065 as i havn't looked it up much.
Just throwing in my few cents.

They are the same size, have the same specs and same internal gears, but digital servos generally offer better centering, more precision, overload protection and programming.

It might, but it would be out of luck, it is designed to prevent the internal electronics from overheating.

To me, the precision centering of digital simply isn't noticed in a car, especially off-road. In a heli, a top pilot might, but not me. Really, the analog 65's gear mesh is so good, it's all you need imo. ...Just do all you can to minimize play elsewhere in steering linkages because that's the real source of inaccuracies.
