Breaking in an atomic BB II Motor - what in the world? (method of doing so)

A comparison between the standard NiMH pack and a LiPo pack in my Micro-T Desert Truck. The motor has been upgraded to an Atomic BB Dual II (ball bearing). I first ran the motor in by connecting it to a 1.5V AA cell and dropping it into a glass of water for 10 mins (yes, this does make a difference with brushed motors!)
Off youtube. What in the world? Eletronics + water = short? I'm confused. Can somone explain how this breaks in a motor? I always heard run it at 50% for 15 minutes, than 2 full battery packs at 100%. Is this the better way of breaking in motors?

Oh, and he mentioned something about loosening your slipper clutch when going to lipos. Can someone give me some insight on this?

the water break in works.....it does a few things first it seats the brushes to the comm it also cleans excess carbon from the comm and it keeps the brushes cool while breaking in and it creates resistance (arm spinning in water) but for you BB (ball bearing motor) it may ruin the bearings.....
You can break in your motor w comm drops and letting the motor run at low rpms for 15-30minutes.....

Your slipper if set too tight will not slip (lipos are more voltage=more speed)
and you will possibly break faster..........
Setting the slipper is easy.....back off on the nut w the spring and give your Losi the throttle....the truck should initially slip for about a foot.....
more slip= (slower truck) the transmission can adapt to different surfaces (traction)
less slip= instant power (faster truck) more broken drivetrain parts.....

Thanks on the slipper part. So do i just put in some oil in the motor and then run it at low rpms for 15-30 minutes? I am confused what you mean by comm drops, though i am assuming it means commutator drops.
