How do you improve the steering radius on these? I just popped this out of the box and it steers in almost a 6 foot circle

supersonic12 12-26-2010 01:28 AM

turn the dual rate to max . . dual rate is the poti under the steering wheel of your transmitter

which costs more than the sc18 rtr ....

in my opinion the steering servo and the tight drivetrain are much worse...

The drive train is only tight when you first buy the vehicle. You can do so many things to loosen up the belts (such as email AE and they will send you a new front diff casing that is suppost to loosen up the belt. Or you can loosen all the top plate screws) Its just if you feel like doing all these things. Or if you just want to take the car out of the box and play. The new steering system does take alot of the slop out of the steering but it takes a stronger steering servo to turn the car.

The sc18 is great. I just received mine today, And had to shave down the rear diff to not rub on the spur gear. And also fiqure out how to get the pinion to not rub on the front belt. But once you do those things, This car rolls free and is super smooth:nod:
